Our Physicians
DANIELLE IVEY, MD
Danielle Ivey, MD is trained in internal medicine. She began her medical training at McGovern Medical School in Houston. After medical school she completed an internship and residency at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas. While she was there, she also taught medical students and served as the clinic chief resident. Since then, she has served the Fort Worth and surrounding areas as a primary care physician.
Dr. Ivey focuses on treating her patients with an emphasis on preventative medicine and managing chronic conditions to improve patients’ quality of life. Her goal is to encourage people to become advocates of their own health through asking questions and learning how to improve their own health. She works hard to be patients’ “quarterback” and coordinate care between patients, their specialists and herself to make sure everyone is on the same page.
Dr. Ivey loves spending time with her husband and three kids with family game night and evening walks in their neighborhood. She also enjoys running, reading, and spending time with friends.

Our healthcare model emphasizes a direct and personalized relationship between patients and primary care physicians. We operate outside the traditional fee-for-service insurance-based healthcare system.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
You do not need insurance to have a subscription to Arbor Internal Medicine. However, your subscription only covers primary care done by Arbor Internal Medicine.
If a patient is referred to a specialist, sent to ER or admitted to a hospital they would benefit from having insurance to cover these costs.
-
You can see your physician whenever you need via scheduling an appointment. Your physician’s goal is to be available for appointments when you need them. Also, for your convenience, your physician is also available via virtual visits, calls and texts to address your health concerns.
-
Lab services are provided at Arbor Internal Medicine office. The lab draw cost is included in your monthly subscription. The cost of testing the blood is a cash price that will be available to the patient prior to the lab being drawn. If a patient has insurance and would like the lab to be billed through their insurance that can be done as well.
-
It covers all your annual visits, chronic care visits and sick visits. On-call services for urgent matters are also covered. Some in-house testing is included while others may be purchased for an at-cost cash price. See Membership & Services for more information.
-
Currently I do not take Medicare Patients. My goal is to start taking Medicare patients in Summer 2024. If you have Medicare and are interested in joining Arbor Internal Medicine practice in the future, please call us and let us know. We will reach out to you once we start taking Medicare patients. (This does not mean Medicare will cover the monthly subscription, but that our practice will be legally allowed to see patients who have Medicare based insurance.)
-
Can I still be a patient with Arbor Internal Medicine?
YES! The slight complication is that Dr. Danielle Ivey cannot be your PCP on your HMO card and your insurance will not recognize any referrals she places as valid. Some HMO patients have a traditional PCP who is approved for their HMO that they see once a year and provide necessary referrals. Then they are cared for by Dr. Ivey throughout the year regarding chronic care management, sick visits, medical questions and urgent concerns.
